Our staff & volunteers
What started as one fire family's tragedy has turned into a community effort! We simply ask to help your neighbor in need and after we have helped you, you are kind enough to volunteer with us and pay it forward in your community. Being part of the CARE Family is not what people wish for, but there is healing in the community process knowing that you are not alone and we will help you through this connecting to needed resources. We are a community resource for the Red Cross in the Minneapolis/Twin Cities and St Cloud Offices.
Our history
We supply fire departments with CARE Family Kits that are given by the Fire Departments - After the Fire. Where the Emergency Connections end, we help pick up where they left off guiding you with those who can best help. For many, this is all they have left to rebuild and start a lengthy process of putting the pieces back together. We stay with them, get your Beyond the Fire Binder ready, to organize and prioritize with your insurance company, PA, or another family representative each step of the way.
Our mission
Our mission is to have the local fire department be part of welcoming the families back to their newly rebuilt homes. This sense of community helps heal hearts and brings everyone involved back together giving that peace of mind ready to start a new chapter.

USFA recognizes partnerships as a critical means of delivering accurate and consistent safety messages to the community. We invite fire departments, life safety organizations and fire and life safety professionals to partner on this important initiative. Once you join, we ask you to use the Fire Is Everyone's Fight graphic and tagline on your existing and new materials.
Home fire deaths continue to rise despite increased community risk reduction activities like home safety surveys and smoke alarm installation and education campaigns. Our nation's fire and emergency medical services need to speak with one voice on fire and life safety to relay clear and consistent messages.
